Multiple apps
Launch compatible strategies with distinct instruments under one leader server.
A multi-app launch creates a leader session and follower sessions sharing server infrastructure. Each app still has its own strategy, instrument, session state, and stored run record.
Current compatibility limits
The supported leader runtime families are ss-rdx and tradovate-chrome. The launch UI filters followers by the selected target and checks the final group before launch.
Followers normally use the compatible app type for that target. The Tradovate Chrome target also accepts its supported ibkr-ss follower mapping. Broker override is narrow: the multi-app validator accepts Tradovate brokers for its supported leader types, not arbitrary mixed-broker groups.
Leader and followers must use unique instrument keys. Same-symbol strategies on the same resolved contract are not a supported way to create two independent order owners within a group. Check expiry and security type rather than comparing only display names.
Build the group
Open Run an app, select the leader, enable the multiple-app option, and select at least one compatible follower. Recheck available choices if you change the broker or leader.
Review every saved app before launch. Shared infrastructure does not synchronize source, resolve competing strategy intentions, or make one app's readiness apply to the others.
Inspect the intended member
The leader owns the shared server resources. Followers have persisted identities and can be selected or opened for their own data and history. Use the current group identity when comparing results: two launches of the same saved app are different groups.
Resource metrics belong to shared infrastructure; a selected follower's trades and logs belong to that follower. Keep those scopes clear when diagnosing a slowdown or missing action.
Stop at the correct scope
Stopping one follower need not stop the leader or other followers. Termination and deletion of shared infrastructure are leader-routed operations and affect the group.
Broker positions and outstanding orders still need separate reconciliation. Read stopping and restarting before treating a group shutdown as account cleanup.
