Annotations

Use chart regions and trade context to guide an investigation.

Annotations connect an observation to a particular historical run. They help the assistant investigate a specific interval instead of guessing which part of a chart you mean.

Save chart regions

  1. Select a completed run in History and open Chart.
  2. Draw regions using the chart's good, bad, or test labels.
  3. Add an Annotation note explaining what to investigate.
  4. Choose Save regions; the button includes the current region count.
  5. Send a prompt that refers to that run and the saved regions.

Drawing alone does not save annotations. A nonempty annotation note is applied to the regions when you save them, so write a note that makes sense for the selected group.

Describe behavior precisely

Investigate the saved bad region on this run.
The strategy re-entered soon after closing a long position.
Explain the signal, pending-order state, and entry guard at that point.
Do not change the source until you have identified the cause.

A region is research context, not an automatic trading filter or an execution rule. The assistant still needs to inspect the source and results.

Ask about a trade

In Trades, choose Ask agent beside a record. This fills the prompt with the trade and run context and opens the Agent panel. Review the prompt and choose Send when ready.

The context action does not send a message automatically. Add what surprised you, such as the entry time, quantity, exit condition, or P&L.

Keep observations tied to their run

Annotations belong to the selected run. After changing data or source, inspect the new result before assuming the same region represents the same behavior. Use comparison to assess whether the change addressed the original observation.
